Melbourne Zoo has invited some of the best local and international musicians to join them in the fight against wildlife extinction, playing live under the stars in a setting like no other.
Explore the Zoo at dusk and meet the animals before settling on the lawns for the show. Come prepared to enjoy a safe and relaxed picnic-style experience alongside some of the world’s most incredible wildlife.
To maintain our unique setting and keep the Zoo Twilights vibe awesome, we ask you to please respect each other, the animals, and the environment around you.
Gates will open from 5.30pm so you can visit the animals before the first show kicks off. If you'd like to visit the Zoo during the day then you'll need to purchase a Melbourne Zoo General Admission ticket in addition to your concert ticket. Please note: Twilights ticket holders can’t set up on the lawns before 5.30pm.
Why not catch the train or tram! It’s better for the environment. If you are driving, parking is free after 5pm.
Melbourne Zoo is a fully licensed venue and alcohol can be purchased on the night. Unfortunately BYO is not permitted. All eskys and bags will be screened by security at the gate, so make sure you allow extra time for this on your way in. You’ll also need to adhere to Melbourne Zoo’s general terms of entry.
Be mindful of the animals that live here - Melbourne Zoo is a no smoking area. If you would like to smoke, pass outs are available at the gates.
Just like your home, always put your rubbish in the bin. We have clearly marked food waste, general rubbish and recycling bins throughout the Zoo.
Remember to look after your friends and family and take care when leaving the Zoo at night. Remember to collect all of your belongings before you leave and keep your eyes peeled in the car park as it can get quite busy.
Zoo Twilights is an all-weather event and will go ahead even if rain is forecast. Be sure to pack for all seasons; warm clothes, sunscreen, raincoats and hats. Leave those umbrellas at home, they are not allowed. Want to know more, read our terms and conditions.
Melbourne Zoo is home to a range of wildlife and in the event of an emergency concert goers may be evacuated for their safety. In this unlikely event, please listen to Zoo staff who will direct you to safety in an emergency situation.
